I do believe we are on the exponential curve era in terms of advancement in AI. With this kind of progress, there's new terms called "Web 4" where AI will be the main character in this era, Agentic AI especially will dominate most of the webs and perform autonomous task on behalf of the human. Me 2 years ago will never thought this sorcery would be possible, but here we are and I genuinely believe the Web 4 era is not that far from our timeline.
Im wondering what kind of utopia will be created in the Web 4 era. If Web 3 shows us how decentralized concept can works in today's world, Web 4 era will show us how there will be other entity other than human that can replicate how we works. With the recent acquisition of MoltBook by Meta, it makes me realize the world where AI agent interact with other AI agent, sharing knowledge, and even tell funny joke better than I am is possible. There's also company like Stripe building new payment infrastructure for AI agents, they believe in the future AI agents will be the actor of economy with ability to do payment and charging fees, I see it also, I believe there will be new workflow on every single service provider for AI agents and Stripe trying to be the first in that regards.
This also begs a point, what's human role in the Web 4 era? is human becomes the orchestrator? and is this kind of job sustainable? I think the problem iseven though AI will present new job and new role but companies can't absorb all the workforce, it will simply to redundant to have that many orchestrator. I still believe human will have still have role in the new era and won't be obsolete at least in my lifetime (I hope 😅) but I see the role of human somewhat diminishing. Nonetheless, im still excited for the future even though a little bit pessimistic, is this what dotcom era feels like?
